Parliament Solar

about the project

Parliament Solar, our namesake project, is a 640MWdc utility-scale solar project located just outside Houston in Waller County, Texas. Completed in early 2025, the project reflects Parliament’s decades of experience developing, building, and managing stable, high-performing energy assets, executed with a disciplined, safety-first approach focused on long-term reliability.

Project is built on almost 6 square miles. It took over 175 years of man hours to construct. It has 1.2MM modules, 800 miles of trackers, 600 miles of underground cable and 28 tons of steel.

Parliament Solar produces ~1,030GWhrs of solar energy annually which is the equivalent to:

143,000
Gas cars taken off the road for a year
125 billion
Smartphones charged
24 million
Propane grill tanks
88,000
Homes' powered for a year
515 million
Gallons of water saved per year—enough to supply a mid-sized town for several months
project timeline

Parliament Solar is the result of disciplined execution at scale. Guided by an experienced team, the project moved from development through completion with careful planning, close coordination, and a safety-first mindset. Every phase was approached with long-term performance in mind, resulting in a complex utility-scale project delivered smoothly and reliably.

conclusion

Parliament Solar reflects disciplined execution backed by deep experience. Guided by a seasoned team, the project advanced through planning, construction, and commissioning with careful coordination, rigorous oversight, and a consistent focus on long-term performance. Now fully operational, the project is expected to produce approximately 1,100 GWh of solar energy annually—the equivalent of powering about 140,000 homes, offsetting emissions comparable to 180,000 gas-powered cars each year, charging 98 billion smartphones, or replacing 37 million propane tanks. The result is a complex, utility-scale project delivered with precision and built to contribute durable, reliable capacity to the Texas grid through responsible, long-term stewardship by Parliament Energy.
